Interior fittings for Hotel Drei Mohren in Augsburg

Located on Augsburg’s beautiful Maximilianstrasse, this venerable building can look back on 500 years of history. It is to undergo complete refurbishment by September 2011. The Alpstein firm of architects was given full responsibility for the project management. Interior architect Cornelia Markus-Diedenhofen from Reutlingen provided the ideas and drew up the plans for the redesign and extension of this 5-star hotel to ensure its attractiveness as the city’s premium hotel.

Absolute, consistent quality was required to meet the high standards of the client, Drei Mohren AG, who thus opted for Höller. HÖLLER is furnishing the hotel reception, lobby, bar, restaurant (with show kitchen), the Fine Dining restaurant, the various conference rooms (Fugger Room, Holbein Room, Diesel Room, etc.), the large reception room with stage (generally known as the Teehalle or “tea-room”), the wine bar and the new wellness area.

For a special effect on one of the panel walls in the central ballroom, the Teehalle, an innovative material, Luminoso, was selected. This is a translucent wooden panel that guides light to the front side by means of a recessed light-conducting fibre. The Drei Mohren (“Three Moors”) appear as a silhouette on the illuminated wooden wall.
